Here’s another good tip: when summer heat stresses your lawn, fight back! Raise your mower height to 3 1/2” and make sure it gets at least an inch of water a week to keep it green. Don’t let it go dormant, unless you like brown grass.
How are your veggies growing and tasting? I enjoy my tomatoes the most and grow them in a container. Ball Horticultural did a survey and found that more than half of all veggie gardens are in containers. I keep my herbs in a pot outside the kitchen door, handy for the cutting. They add so much flavor to my favorite recipes.
