“Don’t just sit there, Plant Something!” – pretty much my motto in life, but it can also be said for a new campaign by the Arizona Nursery Association (ANA). About 3 years ago, the ANA received a grant from the USDA to develop a plan to help consumers create better gardens. Including guidance on plant selection and information on local nurseries. Now, they have expanded to other states, including Minnesota.
Check them out at Plant Something and select Minnesota, or go to Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association for all kinds of helpful information about getting the most out of your garden this upcoming season.
You’ve heard it from me plenty of times, plants rule. They improve our moods, property values and they keep our air clean. According to ASA, plants can even lower your heart rate – now that’s medicine we could all use this spring!
So stop by the greenhouse, and get your hands dirty this spring. We’d be happy to show you how.
Happy planting!

GREAT IDEA: Try planting flowers or veggies in a straw bale this season. They require minimal maintenance and pretty much fertilize themselves. It’s a trend that’s been catching on, so try it out and tell us what you think on our Facebook page!
