Do you want a garden that is quick and changeable on a whim? Then consider a container planting. It is quick and easy, can be changed per the season, and is moveable if you want to adjust your view. It is the choice for the urban gardener with little time and space. We have “recipes” that can be followed or you can use your own imagination. You can raise your own veggies too and pull a fresh carrot out of the soil or pick a ripe tomato for your salad. You can even plant the lettuce around the edge of the container! Herbs are a great choice for the container and can be placed near the kitchen or grill for easy use to flavor lunch or dinner. Aren’t you getting hungry reading this?
If your space is small, consider raised beds too. Even if you have the space, the raised bed is so simple to maintain and really easy on the eyes and the back!
Have you heard about growing in the straw bale? This was the news release recently and even a book has been written. Great for vegetables with flowers planted around the edge. We have the straw bales so you don’t have to visit a country farm to find them! Read more about straw bale gardening.
