Fall is the best time to seed and feed your lawn. Add plenty of moisture to your lawn, as well as your trees and perennials. They need that extra hydration to store-up for the winter and to have a good show next year.
Keep the color going. Add a touch of fall to your landscape by planting hardy mums now. You’ll be glad you did!
Start planning for spring by selecting the bulbs you want to plant now. Tulips, crocus or daffodils will be a welcomed treat you can look forward to next spring.
As summer winds down, it’s time to bring your houseplants indoors. If your houseplants have been in the garden this summer, make sure to spray them for bugs before bringing them inside. You can fertilize them with a slow release fertilizer like Osmocote until November, then don’t feed them again until February.
Remember to recycle your plastic containers at our Penn Avenue location the weekend of September 15 and 16, 2012. No need to store them in the garage for the winter!
We look forward to seeing you and the whole family Saturday, September 29, 2012 for the Full Moon Festival. Pony rides, face painting, story-tellers, and even pie pumpkin painting for free! The Wagners staff will all be in costume, and we hope to see you there!
Happy gardening!
