Turn your outdoor space into a haven for butterflies and humming birds. Any gardener can make a garden or container that will welcome these “fun to watch” wildlife. They both like a sunny location, flowers of different heights, and brilliant colors. But there is one difference! Hummingbirds like trumpet shaped flowers where they can insert their beak and suck out the nectar. Some would be calibrate, hibiscus, petunia, morning glory, and nicotiana to name a few. Butterflies like the flat faced flowers of the aster, coreopsis, impatiens, salvia, or lantana. Bring your backyard to life and enjoy!
An herb garden is also fun and very useful. They may be grown in a single pot on the patio or in the garden. Herbs provide flowers, fragrance, flavor, and better health too. You can’t lose!!!
