Yes, there is a chilly wind and very cold weather outside, but here at Wagners we are “Thinking Spring”.
Pantone recently released the fashion colors for 2014. Topping the list is Radiant Orchid, but the total palette ranges from neutrals to vibrant shades of plum and purple. In your garden you can choose a composition of colors in your choice of spring and summer flowers. Placid Blue is tranquil, Violet Tulip is romantic, and Hemlock is a summery green. For a more vibrant spectrum, look at Freesia (blazing yellow), Cayenne (vibrant red), Celosia orange (optimistic hue) which is a fun color with Radiant Orchid. In the middle sits Paloma (gray hue) and Sand (toasted neutral).
So get your Garden Journals out and start making notes and lists for your spring and summer choices. This journal will become your personal guide to select your vegetable gardening choices as well as the ornamentals to match YOUR favorite color palette! Have fun and involve the whole family in the planning process!
Just,
Nola
